Last year, Asian Australian Alliance (AAA) in collaboration with Osmond Chiu launched the The COVID-19 Racism Incident Report Survey. The first Preliminary COVID-19 Racism Incident Report covered 377 incidents for the period April 02, 2020 – June 02, 2020.
Now, they have launched “COVID-19 Racism Incident Report Survey Comprehensive Report 2021” which covers 541 incident reports recorded from April 02, 2020 until June 28 2021. These incidents reveal the way migrant communities have been continually scapegoated throughout various phases of the pandemic.
