NSW Council of Social Service (NCOSS) has developed their NCOSS Advocacy Toolkit, an invaluable resource to help organisations further their advocacy skills and effectively advocate for social issues.
This toolkit aims to ensure “comprehensive, consistent, and effective actions are taken across the region.” NCOSS aims to energise community mobilisation, offering organisations with a guide that encourages broad outreach and informed collaboration.
“Each pillar of the Advocacy Model are complementary, nonlinear and intended to occur concurrently,” states the toolkit. “Consider all four pillars of action when designing a campaign or activity. Advocacy tasks should be ongoing simultaneously in each pillar throughout the campaign.”
